Uncomfortable: Learning When to Swerve

Do you feel stuck?
Do you feel like you do the same thing day in and day out with minimal effort or reward? Do you feel satisfied in life? Do you feel satisfied with your job or in your relationship? Continue reading “Uncomfortable: Learning When to Swerve”

Uncomfortable: Relationships | Falling in Love with Yourself Again – Part 2

You know what I’ve realized over the past couple of months?  That EVERYTHING, literally everything, ebs and flows. I know we’ve talked about change and it being a constant, but every once in a while we get in these ruts – at least, I know I do… Where you think, feel, believe, that everything is staying the same – that you are stagnant or even trapped. Continue reading “Uncomfortable: Relationships | Falling in Love with Yourself Again – Part 2”

Uncomfortable: The “C” Word – CHANGE | A Year of Growth

Was scrolling through pictures I was “tagged in” the other day, and it legitimately made me stop what I was doing.

MBA Graduation 2017

It’s been over a year since I packed up my life (and Nina) and moved to Phoenix, just about a year that I’ve been single – I know right?, and I’ve been with Dansons #DreamJob for a little over a year now as well.
When I saw all those old pictures this moment of realization hit me like a frikin brick. Does that ever happen to you? You know something, but then it’s like oh snap! I REALLY understand it now. Continue reading “Uncomfortable: The “C” Word – CHANGE | A Year of Growth”

Uncomfortable: Health and Wellness | Breaking the Cycle

Ohkay, seriously though – fitness and health are touchy subjects. We all have friends who have gained weight as they aged, or the friends that had an eating disorder once upon a time, or those friends that are ANNOYINGLY into fitness now. And maybe you yourself, fall into one of those categories. Continue reading “Uncomfortable: Health and Wellness | Breaking the Cycle”

Uncomfortable: The “C” Word – CHANGE | What’s Your New Years Resolution?

I know that we touched on this in the previous blog, but I wanted to follow up with y’all – because I have some questions…
Do you make a New Years resolution every year? Or do you do it when you know something big needs to happen, or is going to happen? What motivates you to make a resolution?  Continue reading “Uncomfortable: The “C” Word – CHANGE | What’s Your New Years Resolution?”

Uncomfortable: Taking Ownership of Our Mistakes

No one likes to admit when they’re wrong. It’s this human instinct we possess to protect ourselves from the hurt, from the bad that may ensue after we make a mistake. So, because of this, we have a legitimate issue when it comes to owning our mistakes, our flaws, our imperfections. And everyone has them; but it is so much easier for us to point out the flaws in others than it is for us to take a good hard look at ourselves.  Continue reading “Uncomfortable: Taking Ownership of Our Mistakes”

Uncomfortable: Who do You Want to be?

Yes, this is a legit deep question here. However, we all ask ourselves this question at some point. Some of us maybe once a week, or a couple times a month, and others – maybe several times a day. The key here is that we are asking ourselves who we want to be, not what.  Continue reading “Uncomfortable: Who do You Want to be?”

Uncomfortable: The Gym and an Eating Disorder

Getting back into the gym after having an eating disorder can be tricky, and it sure isn’t easy. It is easy however, to get carried away and become addicted to something else – that could potentially give you the same result as the eating disorder had: being (or wanting to be) the thinnest person in the room, i.e. “the drive for thinness“. Which we all know, is NOT GOOD. Continue reading “Uncomfortable: The Gym and an Eating Disorder”

Uncomfortable: Freedom of Speech | Does it Still Exist?

More than five different Conservative events, on college campuses, have been cancelled since the beginning of this year due to violence, or the threat of violence against the scheduled speakers.
Milo Yiannopoulos had two events cancelled at the beginning of the year. One at UC Davis in January and one at UC Berkeley in February.
At the Berkeley event – all hell broke loose, literally. The protestors caused about $100,000 in damage – breaking windows, throwing rocks, and setting a generator and some trees on fire on campus. Continue reading “Uncomfortable: Freedom of Speech | Does it Still Exist?”
